Painted Bunting & Roseate Spoonbill Tour

Tour Description

We will explore the "West" end of the West Ashley Greenway seeking a variety of birds including the striking Painted Bunting and the breathtaking Roseate Spoonbill! This section of the West Ashley Greenway has woodlands, maritime forest, salt marsh and tidal creeks. We will walk along a former railway now a level pathway that is part of the City of Charleston's Park system. *Each Participant will receive a Holy City Birding BIRD Patch! (Tour offered on select dates June thru August when tidal conditions are optimal for bird activity) The Tour will be on foot and will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. We will meet and finish at the parking lot located near 3484 McLeod Mill Road, Johns Island, SC 29455 Binoculars are recommended. (Guide will have one extra pair of Binoculars to pass around) Items to wear/bring: comfortable clothing for the current weather conditions, comfortable walking shoes. (Max 6 participants)
